Ride on a cable car up and down the busy hilly streets in San Francisco. The tourist area of Chinatown is full of shops, restaurants, cafes and markets, but a good place to order a cup of coffee, relax and people watch. If you visit between April and October, there’s a free concert on Sunday afternoons in the Golden Gate Park.

Lake Tahoe, with its beaches and clear azure water, is in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Enjoy a bit of skiing, snowboarding, alpine golf, water skiing or fishing. Wonderful scenery, great place to hike, breathe in the clean fresh air, and take some stunning photos.
