Airport transfers in Costa Blanca (Alicante Airport)
Going to the Costa Blanca for a holiday?
Want to enjoy wonderful beaches, swim in the beautiful warm waters of the Mediterranean?
Are you planning on doing some sightseeing, play a round or two of golf maybe? Perhaps you just want to relax during the day but enjoy some night life? If you can tick anyone of these boxes, then you have chosen the right destination.
Welcome to Costa Blanca!
You will, no doubt, arrive at Alicante airport. An Alicante airport transfer with TaxiFinders.com will be waiting for you to arrive and take you in comfort and swiftly to your holiday destination. All resorts on the Costa Blanca are within one hours drive of the airport.
Starting in the north of Costa Blanca, the town of Gandia, with its tree line promenades, busy harbour, bars, restaurants and shops, together with lovely beaches, is an interesting place to visit. Take a trip to the Palace del Santo Duque – declared a Spanish national monument – it has a magnificent staircase, Baroque State apartments, a 125ft long Golden Gallery with a beautiful mosaic floor and also a museum.
Next town down is Denia. This is not a tourist town, but has a large harbour with ferry connections to Ibiza, Mallorca, Palma, Formentera and San Antonio. From the castle, which was built in the 11th and 12th centuries, you have a spectacular view of the beaches, sea, town and countryside. If you are in Denia during the first half of July (check websites for dates), do not miss Bous a la Mar. Huge dishes of paella are cooked in the main pedestrian street, a bullring is built in the harbour with one side open to the sea, young ‘would be’ matadors tease the young bulls until either the matadors jump into the harbour or the bull takes a swim. Nothing really dangerous for the bulls – they are fished out of the sea by little boats – but it is really good entertainment. Also you maybe lucky and catch the bulls running down the main street towards the bull ring. Lots of other entertainment for adults and shows for children are on during the fiestas.

Moving further south, Altea and Calpe have nice little bays, but the main resort is, of course, Benidorm. An airport transfer to Benidorm can be booked with TaxiFinders.com. The town consists mainly of tower blocks, two main beaches, shops galore, nice promenade, bars and restaurants and night clubs. It enjoys a micro climate as it is sheltered from the north winds by mountains. Apart from the golf courses, there is a large water park, Aqualandia Water Park, with activities for all the family, and Mundomar Park where you can see dolphin, seal and parrot shows, penguins, tropical birds and other animals. Otherwise, travel back in time at the Terra Mitica theme park and experience the way of life when the legendary civilisations lived in the Mediterranean area. The Terra Natura (which is a zoo) is situated about 5km outside Benidorm and there is also a water park area to enjoy if you get too hot walking round.
Alicante is the capital town of the Costa Blanca. If you are staying in Benidorm, catch the train to the capital. It travels through the luscious orange groves and when you arrive, you should head for the Castle of Santa Barbara and enjoy the breathtaking views over the sea and town. Otherwise, some good shops to browse around, bars and restaurants to enjoy, nice beaches to laze on, or take a look at the harbour.
All in all, the Costa Blanca has a fantastic climate, plenty of entertainment for adults and children, lots of nightlife, magnificent beaches and, of course, the Med to bathe in. You will not be bored! And after your holiday has ended, and you’ve booked an Alicante airport transfer, TaxiFinders.com will collect you from your accommodation and drive you in comfort back to the airport.
Ole! Viva la Costa Blanca, and viva TaxiFinders.com!!
